Welcome to River Valley Project Explore

We'd like to extend an invitation for you to explore the variety of activities offered through Project Explore. We are a Community Education program serving adults with disabilities. Project Explore is a consortium of five school districts including Burnsville, Farmington, Lakeville, Randolph and Rosemount. For over 34 years, Project Explore has been a leader in providing opportunities and services in Dakota County.

Wondering which activities require caregiver registration?

On page 13 in the catalog you'll find the 'Caregiver Events' section. That lists all activities for caregivers. Note that only one caregiver per group needs to register for a dance.

Bingo Night! — Our trip to Austin, Minnesota was SPAMTASTIC! We learned a lot at the SPAM Museum, sampled varieties of SPAM not available in the United States, made a colorful craft and visited the Hormel Nature Center.

Did you know? The RVPE Foundation offers scholarships for Project Explore participants living within the five school district consortium area. If you have questions or want to apply, email projectexplore@district196.org or call Patty at 651-423-7932. The annual maximum amount is $100.

waffles — The 10th annual Craft Fair is coming up October 2026! In 2025 there were over 75 vendors with a wide variety of crafts and merchandise. There was a steady flow of shoppers all day! If you are interested in being a craft vendor at this year's fair contact Project Explore at **projectexplore@district196.org**
